Boating During COVID-19
As boaters, and especially liveaboards, Puget Sound IS our backyard and boats, by pure physics, can not occupy the same space. If you or your household are the only ones on your boat…get out there and enjoy our great Spring weather! With the easing of recreational restrictions next week, state parks will be open for day use (like Blake Is, but check their site for details). No overnight camping is allowed yet, which will include docks and buoys…but that’s what your anchor is for! Respect the neighbors in Blakely Harbor, Manzanita Bay, Port Madison, etc….don’t go ashore. If you need to go to a marina, call them first to confirm their schedule and services. (The San Juan’s are still closed)
Here is a great article on how to keep your boat safe during the current crisis..
