DECK YOUR HULLS WITH LIGHTS SO JOLLY!

The past 3 years have brought us many challenges, so why not get your lights up early to help spread a little cheer!

Happy Holidays!

Hiram M. Chittenden Locks – Ballard Locks

Our large lock will be closed from 6:00 am, Nov. 8, 2022, for dewatering and maintenance.
The small lock will, however, still be used for navigation purposes for vessels less than 120 feet in length and 26 feet in width throughout this maintenance period. Here’s the order of priority for vessels:
1?? Emergency
2?? Government,
3?? Commercial, then
4?? Recreational
Mariners may experience delays, depending on passage demand.
The large lock will reopen 8:00 p.m. Nov. 23.
Thanks for your patience as we complete our much-needed annual maintenance work.

Winter Storm Season Prep…

Published by under Liveaboard Topics

Don’t forget to…

  • Secure your halyards away from your mast to prevent slapping in the wind.
  • Remove flags
  • Put out extra dock lines and fenders.
  • Secure tarps, sail covers and roller furling.
  • Securely stow: gear on your boat, steps, items behind your dock box, and bail your dinghy!
  • Make sure your power cord has slack in it and that it is not hanging in the water!
  • Water lines may freeze or be shut off…take appropriate action (top off tanks, disconnect hoses, etc.)
  • Contact the Marina staff right away if you see anything of concern (ie: loose sails, frayed dock lines, continuous bilge pump running and any diesel/oil spills).

Thanks for being a good neighbor…

A big thank you to all that participated, carved pumpkins and lit up their displays!  The weather cooperated and we had a great turnout.
